For many who celebrate the Christmas holidays, trimming the tree is a treasured family tradition. Growing up, I can remember creating popcorn strings with a needle and thread (Ouch!), then carefully unpacking the fragile glass globes and other shapes that made up the bulk of the Christmas tree decorations. Since they were so delicate, there were always casualties. After putting on the silver tinsel, sparingly of course, it was time for my favorite part, to have Dad place the Christmas tree Angel on top. I know many biblical Angels, like Gabrial, are male, but I always thought of our Angel as a beautiful woman who was our guardian that holiday season. I honestly think there are Angels for everyone. Not necessarily the ones portrayed in movies and on TV, but people who keep us on the right path, if we only let them.

I especially liked Clarence in “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I know some people think it sappy, and is played to much, but I watch every year – at least once.
